big excitement
22 Oct 07
Such an exciting day! Got groceries, changed the filter on the furnace, even tidied up the dining room table (kinda). Oh, and this happened up the street:
I could have sworn there was a house here this morning. This lot is on the north east corner of Pierre and Assumption. Note that the local pronunciation of “Pierre” rhymes with “beery”. Like a bad SCA event, eh? “Golly, yer Excellency, this event sure is peery. Er, sorry, your Grace.”
There goes the neighbourhood!

Hmm. Seems like there are plenty of houses around that one that are just as bad or worse. I hope the wacko church across the road isn’t expanding.
What’s the situation with that other house, the burned out one on the other side of Assumption (on Pierre or Parent, I forget). I heard that there was a second fire there during our first week in Athens in August, but forgot to go have a gawk at it when I was home visiting.

Aw, you made me snort coffee. I’m going to start reading your blog later in the morning.
:)

jodi: I heard something about that too, I was probably with you. I haven’t been by there lately, though. It seems unlikely the wacko church is expanding across the street. That’d be wacko.
kelly: I hope the coffee was neither too hot, nor too cold, but juuuussst right.
